Financial Controller – Global AI Platform

About the role

As the Financial Controller reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for the integrity of Omilia’s global financial records. You will lead the close and consolidation process across multiple entities, manage a distributed accounting team, and ensure compliance with IFRS standards. This remote leadership role is pivotal for a fast‑growing AI platform serving enterprise customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for all entities, including the Cyprus headquarters and Greek operations, delivering accurate IFRS consolidation.
• Own the revenue recognition policy under IFRS 15 for complex SaaS and professional services contracts.
• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and oversee a distributed team handling accounts payable, expenses, payroll and NetSuite administration.
• Drive financial automation and control improvements as the company scales.

Required profile

• 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Controller or equivalent leadership role within a growth‑stage enterprise software environment.
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with deep IFRS expertise, especially multi‑currency consolidation and IFRS 15.
• Proven ability to lead remote, distributed teams across multiple European time zones.
