Embedded Software Engineer for Wireless Systems

About the role

Intracom Defense is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to work on Software Defined Radio projects within its Wireless & Missile Systems division. The role combines technical development with a strong focus on meeting customer needs and delivering innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Capture software technical requirements and create design architectures.
• Develop, code, unit‑test, integrate and verify embedded software features.
• Participate in functional and technical design meetings.
• Debug and solve embedded software issues.
• Collaborate with software and FPGA firmware teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of proven experience in embedded software engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• C programming language.
• Real‑Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and multi‑thread programming.
• Embedded development tools such as JTAG emulators, logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with FreeRTOS, TI Sitara MCUs, AMD Vitis platform and Code Composer Studio.
• Implementation of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN‑Bus).
• Bootloader development and memory management.
• Familiarity with Software Defined Radio architectures.
