Earthworks Construction Supervisor

About the role

Hellas Gold Single Member S.A., a gold, silver, lead and zinc mining company operating the Kassandra Mines in NE Halkidiki since 2004, is offering the position of Earthworks Construction Supervisor for its premises in Chalkidiki. The post reports to the Open Pit Manager of the Open Pit Mining Department in Skouries.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities on site, aligned with engineering designs, drawings and specifications.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, method statements and construction plans.
• Monitor project progress against schedule and report deviations or delays.
• Ensure efficient use of manpower, materials and equipment.
• Inspect sites to verify quality and compliance with standards.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Resolve technical issues and liaise with project managers, engineers and stakeholders.
• Maintain site records, daily reports and work progress documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related discipline; a polytechnic degree is an asset.
• Minimum Technological Institute degree.
• 1-3 years of experience in construction projects, preferably infrastructure, industrial or large-scale developments.
• Previous supervisory or site management experience.
• Experience coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Track record of working under strict safety and quality standards.
• Availability for 24/7 rotating shifts.
• Good command of written and spoken English and a valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with construction planning and scheduling tools.
• Problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
• Professional certification in construction management is an advantage.
