Dry Bulk Fleet Operator

About the role

Blue Fleet is looking for an experienced Operator to join its Operations team and support the commercial and operational management of its dry bulk fleet. You will work closely with Masters, charterers and agents to ensure voyages run smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor voyage execution, vessel performance and progress.
• Review cargo plans, stowage arrangements and voyage documentation (NORs, SOFs, Bills of Lading).
• Evaluate weather routing recommendations and optimise fuel consumption.
• Support Masters on operational matters and resolve issues proactively.
• Negotiate and review Disbursement Accounts (DAs) and ensure compliance with charter‑party terms.
• Liaise with owners, charterers, agents and other stakeholders throughout the voyage.

Required profile

• Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Nautical Science or related field, or a Master Mariner/Chief Officer licence.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in vessel operations or post‑fixture operations.
• Good understanding of dry‑bulk operations and charter‑party requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational abilities.
• Excellent command of English.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with shipping software.
