Database Developer Engineer

About the role

HFM is an internationally acclaimed multi-asset broker delivering cutting‑edge trading tools, platforms, and conditions to traders worldwide. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and strategic Database Developer Engineer to join our team.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize SQL and NoSQL queries across MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis and InfluxDB.
• Collaborate with developers across multiple languages and platforms to understand their database needs and challenges.
• Conduct thorough database system analysis, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to query performance tuning, problem resolution, and system design.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest technologies and trends in Database Management Systems (DBMS).
• Participate in the team’s on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• 2+ years as a database developer, database administrator, or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and languages.
• Ability to guide software engineers in optimizing database performance through query structuring.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with different teams.
