Data Scientist – Customer & Marketing Analytics

About the role

Satori Analytics is seeking a Data Scientist to lead customer and marketing analytics projects. You will work with rich customer, transactional, campaign and behavioural data to create segmentation, targeting and predictive solutions that drive commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement customer segmentation models using clustering techniques such as K-Means, Gaussian Mixture Models or DBSCAN.
• Engineer customer‑level features (recency, frequency, monetary value, spend trends, engagement, lifecycle indicators) and evaluate them through stability analysis and business interpretability.
• Apply explainable AI methods, especially SHAP, to translate model behaviour into clear customer narratives, personas and actionable insights.
• Support additional marketing use cases including propensity modelling, churn prediction, campaign analytics and KPI performance tracking.
• Collaborate with Marketing, BI and Data Engineering teams to define KPIs, align analytical outputs with business objectives and present findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Professional experience in Data Science, Customer/Marketing Analytics or Business Analytics with a proven record of partnering with Marketing or CRM teams.
• Hands‑on experience in customer segmentation, clustering and behavioural analytics projects.
• Ability to evaluate clustering results using metrics, stability testing and business interpretability.
• Experience with explainable AI, particularly SHAP, and turning insights into business recommendations.
• Strong grounding in applied statistics, including distributions, regression, hypothesis testing, experimentation and model evaluation.
