Data Engineer – AI-Driven Banking Platform

About the role

Join the Newra AI Hub at Accenture to build the data foundation for AI‑driven banking. You will create robust, production‑ready data pipelines that turn raw banking data into trusted assets for analytics, machine learning and digital products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from core banking systems (CRM, transactional) into Azure‑based data platforms.
• Develop dimensional, data‑vault and star schemas to support analytical workloads, ML feature stores and BI reporting.
• Build data‑quality frameworks including profiling, validation rules, anomaly detection and automated remediation.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to surface patterns and quality issues across AI/ML pipelines.
• Maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure (Databricks, ADLS Gen2) and implement CI/CD for data pipelines using Azure DevOps and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Ensure data governance, compliance (GDPR, PSD2) and lineage tracking.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or data analytics.
• Strong Python/PySpark and SQL/SparkSQL skills with performance‑tuning expertise.
• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2).
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT design patterns, data‑warehouse and lake‑house concepts.
• Data‑quality mindset and ability to implement validation and monitoring.
