Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Intracom Defense (IDE) is seeking a detail‑oriented Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen its IT security posture. The role blends hands‑on technical security work with support for governance, risk, and compliance initiatives across a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server and Linux systems, including patching and hardening.
• Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, and broader Identity & Access Management processes.
• Implement endpoint protection, EDR, and antimalware solutions.
• Configure network security components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and segmentation.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, remediation, and patch management.
• Secure Microsoft 365 environments and maintain security baselines.
• Support backup, recovery, and overall infrastructure resilience.
• Assist with basic SIEM/SOC monitoring and incident investigation.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in system administration (Windows/Linux) and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with identity management, endpoint security, and network protection.
• Ability to translate technical findings into actionable security controls and documentation.
• Interest in expanding expertise in GRC and security operations.
