About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is looking for a Cook to join its team in Athens, Greece. The role supports the daily operation of accommodation centres for unaccompanied migrant children by planning and preparing nutritious meals in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily menus in line with dietary guidelines and cultural preferences.
• Prepare, cook, and serve meals for residents of the accommodation centre.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and control waste.
• Clean and organise kitchen workspaces according to health regulations.
• Collaborate with the Shelter Coordinator and other staff to ensure smooth service delivery.

Required profile

• Certificate or recognized training in culinary arts, food preparation, or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in a kitchen or catering environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural setting.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and adjust portions as needed.
