Cloud Data Engineer – Athens or Thessaloniki

About the role

As a Cloud Data Engineer at Accenture, you will work in cross‑functional teams to design, build and deploy modern data solutions on leading cloud platforms, creating the foundations for advanced analytics and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Develop data applications and solutions with a focus on learning core skills and performing tasks without supervision.
• Handle increasingly complex tasks with moderate supervision, applying learned knowledge to deliver results and solve routine problems.
• Build and optimise scalable data pipelines and workflows in cloud environments.
• Support data architects by gathering requirements and helping define data models and architecture.
• Maintain data quality and governance standards while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align data solutions with business needs.
• Participate in process improvements and apply DevOps practices to streamline workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in data engineering, preferably on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Foundational knowledge of data warehousing and data management concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python/PySpark.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, Google Cloud) and familiarity with data‑visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
