Clinical Lead – Oncology (Global Study Leadership)

About the role

IQVIA is seeking a Clinical Lead with a strong oncology background to drive the delivery of regional and global oncology studies within its Global Study Leadership team. You will be responsible for ensuring studies meet recruitment, quality, timeline and operational objectives while complying with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the clinical delivery of regional and global oncology studies, ensuring quality, timeline, recruitment and operational objectives are met.
• Drive patient recruitment and site engagement strategies to achieve enrolment targets.
• Partner with Project Leaders and cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and maintain operational excellence.
• Provide leadership to clinical teams, supporting resource planning, training and project delivery.
• Manage clinical risks, oversee quality standards and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
• Support financial oversight, including forecasting, budget management and scope change identification.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and mentor less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong oncology background with at least 5 years of experience in clinical research, monitoring or clinical operations within a CRO, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
• Deep understanding of clinical trial conduct, ICH‑GCP guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience leading study delivery activities such as patient recruitment, site management and quality oversight.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills in a global, cross‑functional setting.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience with project financial management and operational planning is desirable.
