Civil Engineer – Construction Delivery & Site Coordination

About the role

Living Group Greece seeks a hands‑on Civil Engineer to own technical execution across multiple active construction and renovation projects in Athens. You will translate design drawings into built reality, keep contractors accountable, and protect programme, budget and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day technical coordination and site supervision for renovation and development projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and permits, identifying clashes, gaps and buildability issues before they affect the site.
• Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP work with consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Maintain practical construction programmes, weekly look‑aheads and recovery actions for delays.
• Monitor contractor progress, workmanship, materials and compliance with scope, quality standards and deadlines.
• Check quantities, BOQs, quotations, completed works, payment certificates and variation claims; flag cost impact before approval.
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery timing to avoid site delays.
• Prepare concise weekly site reports covering progress, risks, decisions required, cost exposure and next steps.
• Support inspections, snagging, defect resolution and final handover.
• Ensure compliance with Greek regulations, permits, health‑and‑safety requirements and technical standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active registration with the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) or immediate eligibility to register.
• Minimum 5 years of on‑site experience in building construction, urban renovation, residential or hospitality projects.
• Proven experience managing several active worksites, contractors and subcontractors.
• Fluent Greek and strong written and spoken English.
• Availability to be regularly present at project sites across Athens; driving licence preferred.
