About the role
Helm Specialist Recruitment have been retained to conduct an executive search on behalf of a growing shipping company in Greece to recruit a Chartering Manager, based in their Athens office. As Chartering Manager you will be responsible for a fleet of operated Handysize bulk vessels trading worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and cargo owners to grow the business.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth handovers and maximise commercial outcomes.
- Oversee the commercial performance of a fleet of Handysize bulk vessels trading worldwide.
- Strengthen the commercial team by bringing seasoned chartering expertise.
Required profile
- Substantial experience as a Chartering Manager with a vessel operating company.
- Proven experience in the Handysize bulk sector is essential.
- Exposure to fertilizer and grain cargoes is highly desirable.
- Willingness to relocate to Athens, Greece.
- Fluency in English.
