Assistant Tax Auditor – Tax Services (Athens)

About the role

The Assistant Tax Auditor will support tax audit engagements, working closely with the Tax Services team in Athens. You will gain hands‑on experience in tax compliance, regulatory procedures and client communication while developing technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of tax audit procedures in line with applicable tax regulations.
• Collect, review and analyse financial and tax‑related data.
• Assist in preparing working papers and audit documentation.
• Apply technology tools to perform tax audit tasks efficiently.
• Keep up‑to‑date with current tax regulations and developments.
• Contribute to effective communication with clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field (MSc considered an asset).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in an audit or accounting firm.
• Exposure to tax‑related projects or completion of the Tax Seminar provided by AUEB (a plus).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
