Arabic & French Interpreter – Rhodes Island

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a qualified Interpreter to support the Helios+ project in the South Aegean region. Working from Rhodes Island, you will provide Arabic and French interpretation and translation services that enable beneficiaries of international and temporary protection to access employment, language courses, and social integration activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver oral interpretation (consecutive and simultaneous) in Arabic and French for meetings, workshops and field activities.
• Translate written documents, forms and informational material between Arabic, French and English.
• Assist the Regional Coordinator and Project Assistant (Operations) in preparing multilingual communication materials.
• Support beneficiaries, partners and authorities by ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate language services.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to IOM’s standards for quality and professionalism.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least one year of relevant interpretation or translation experience.
• University degree is an advantage.
• Fluency in Arabic and French, with strong command of English.
• Ability to work onsite in Rhodes and travel within the South Aegean region as needed.
