Air Freight Operations Executive

About the role

As an Air Freight Operations Executive you will oversee the end‑to‑end execution of air cargo shipments, from preparing quotations to delivering goods. You will act as the single point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth coordination between carriers, partners and internal teams while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue transport quotations based on carrier rates and company pricing policy.
• Communicate with carriers and international partners to secure competitive rates and service options.
• Maintain follow‑up with customers after quotations to convert them into confirmed shipments.
• Manage bookings, documentation (AWB, commercial invoices, customs paperwork) and coordinate pickup, loading and delivery.
• Record and maintain accurate shipment and quotation data in relevant systems.
• Monitor shipments, address delays or issues promptly, and keep customers informed throughout the process.
• Identify opportunities for operational or pricing improvements and collaborate with internal teams to align processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Logistics, International Transportation or related field.
• Fluency in English (oral and written); additional languages are a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong customer management, analytical thinking and basic financial understanding for quotation preparation.
• Knowledge of international procedures and customs processes.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
