Accountant

About the role

Spotawheel is looking for an Accountant to join its finance team in Athens. You will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and supporting month‑end and year‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Post invoices, payments and other journal entries
• Prepare financial analysis and reports
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet and general‑ledger accounts
• Assist in budget forecast preparation
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Process payments and support daily accounting operations
• Assist with annual audit preparations

Required profile

• BSc degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3‑5 years proven experience as an Accountant
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience with general‑ledger functions and month‑end/year‑end close
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Excellent written and oral English
• Good knowledge of accounting principles
• High accuracy and attention to detail
