Software Engineer II – Ansa Core

About the role

Cadence Design Systems, together with BETA CAE Systems in Greece, is looking for a Software Engineer II to help build core infrastructure for advanced simulation workflows. You will work on high‑performance libraries and tools that enable engineers to run large‑scale, real‑world models across industries such as consumer electronics, automotive, aerospace, and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise core computational components for simulation pipelines.
• Develop and maintain high‑performance C/C++ libraries and parallel algorithms.
• Validate functionality, correctness, and performance through systematic testing and analysis.
• Profile and resolve performance bottlenecks, proposing architectural improvements.
• Build internal tools and frameworks for simulation execution and data management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and scientific teams to evolve product foundations.
• Maintain large, long‑lived codebases with a focus on robustness and scalability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in C and C++ development.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and algorithmic complexity.
• Fluency in English.
