Security Engineer – M&A and Cloud Security

About the role

We are looking for a Security Engineer to lead information‑security due diligence for M&A transactions and to secure our enterprise environments. You will work across Cadence and BETA CAE Systems, shaping security strategy for cloud, network and identity platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
• Assess and document risks in acquired or merging environments.
• Review, secure, and integrate corporate network and identity infrastructures.
• Execute hands‑on tasks for Active Directory, DNS, Linux and macOS hardening.
• Evaluate and deploy Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions.
• Assess backup and disaster‑recovery capabilities and remediate gaps.
• Secure public‑facing and internal web applications, including TLS and WAF configurations.
• Run vulnerability‑management programs: scanning, prioritisation, remediation tracking.
• Implement security controls aligned with CIS Controls and Zero‑Trust principles.
• Design and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies.
• Secure Microsoft 365 environments and improve cloud security posture (AWS, Azure, GCP or hybrid).
• Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance and produce executive‑ready risk assessments.
• Support incident response related to M&A activities.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in information security, infrastructure and network security.
• Proven track record securing enterprise Windows, Linux and macOS environments.
• Experience supporting M&A projects, including integration and carve‑outs.
• Ability to assess risk quickly in complex, time‑sensitive situations.
