Senior Business Development Lead – Hivemind (Greece)

About the role

Shield AI is looking for a senior Business Development Lead to grow the Hivemind autonomy platform in Greece, focusing on defence and government customers. The role will own the full sales cycle, from pipeline generation to closing, and work closely with sales leadership, product, engineering and strategic engagement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the complete sales lifecycle for Hivemind opportunities across assigned territories, generating and advancing pipeline.
• Develop and execute territory and capture strategies aligned with Shield AI’s long‑term plan.
• Identify, qualify and shape new business opportunities by understanding customer missions, budgets and acquisition pathways.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers, program offices and influencers in defence and government.
• Lead proposal development with BD Operations and cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
• Conduct competitive analysis and position Hivemind in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.

Required profile

• 10–15+ years of business development, sales or capture experience in technically complex domains such as AI/ML, autonomy, SaaS, aerospace or defence.
• Proven track record of owning and closing deals within European government or defence markets.
• Deep understanding of defence acquisition processes and government procurement lifecycle.
• Strong capture strategy experience and ability to engage credibly with engineering and product teams.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred.
