Maintenance Technician for Hostel

About the role

YellowSquare Athens is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the hostel running smoothly and safely. You will be the backbone of daily operations, handling everything from quick repairs to long‑term safety projects while contributing to a vibrant, international guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks to ensure the hostel remains efficient, safe, and welcoming.
• Identify potential issues and implement preventive procedures to avoid future problems.
• Monitor equipment inventory, place orders responsibly, and manage supplies.
• Ensure full compliance with local safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with all departments on projects that improve guest and staff experiences.

Required profile

• Previous experience in facility management or maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
• Hands‑on, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Strong organizational abilities and a proactive attitude.
• Fluent spoken English and Greek for daily interaction with staff and guests.
• Positive, “can‑do” mindset that fits a social, fast‑paced environment.
