Senior Buyer / FF&E Lead

About the role

The Senior Buyer / FF&E Lead is based in Athens and will travel periodically to the Elounda Hills site in Crete. The role owns end‑to‑end sourcing and purchasing of Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment for a luxury hospitality development while also handling day‑to‑day buying of low‑value materials and IT equipment for central and site offices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, tendering, negotiation and purchase of FF&E packages for guestrooms, public areas, F&B outlets, spa, marina and back‑of‑house zones.
• Prepare RFQs/RFPs, evaluate offers, negotiate pricing and terms, and issue purchase recommendations.
• Develop and maintain a network of domestic and international FF&E suppliers, identifying alternatives and market opportunities.
• Manage supplier performance, production and delivery schedules to meet project milestones.
• Ensure purchased items meet approved design specifications, samples, finishes, dimensions and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Design, Operations, Construction, Project Controls and other stakeholders on specifications, value engineering, budgets and delivery requirements.
• Maintain purchasing schedules, budget trackers, order records and market/cost data.
• Conduct market research and price benchmarking to support cost planning.
• Handle general purchasing of IT equipment, tools, consumables and office supplies, ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5‑7 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in FF&E for hospitality, luxury residential or large‑scale construction projects.
• Proven track record in FF&E sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost optimisation and timely delivery.
• Experience managing competitive tenders, supplier evaluations and procurement schedules.
• Good working knowledge of Incoterms, logistics/import processes and supplier commercial terms.
• Fluent in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel to Crete as required.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience using ERP or dedicated purchasing systems.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms.
• Understanding of logistics and import processes.
