IT & Systems Engineer – Infrastructure & Security

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT & Systems Engineer to design, implement and operate modern infrastructure across on-premises, virtualised and hybrid cloud environments. You will work on systems, networking, security and cloud projects, supporting customer environments and driving migrations, upgrades and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage, backup and core services.
• Support identity, endpoint management, security controls and enterprise productivity platforms.
• Administer enterprise networking including LAN, WLAN, SD‑WAN, VPN, routing, switching and firewalls.
• Configure and maintain perimeter security devices, central management and logging solutions.
• Design and enforce secure configurations aligned with industry hardening standards.
• Conduct internal and external audits, compliance checks, risk assessments and vulnerability remediation.
• Perform network and system troubleshooting, traffic analysis, upgrades, migrations and incident resolution.
• Assist with cloud migrations and hybrid cloud architecture implementations.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in systems, networking, infrastructure or network security roles.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise firewalls and security architectures.
• Strong knowledge of secure configuration standards and hardening guidelines.
• Proven experience in IT audits, compliance reviews and security posture assessments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Windows Server and Linux Server administration.
• Virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Storage and backup technologies.
• Identity and endpoint management solutions.
• LAN, WLAN, SD‑WAN, VPN, routing and switching.
• Enterprise firewalls and perimeter security devices.
• Logging and centralised management platforms.
• TCP/IP, network security, and secure configuration hardening.
• Cloud environments (public and hybrid) and migration processes.
• Containerisation, web servers, hypervisors and database management systems (advantage).
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, NSE, Network+, Security+, CISA/CISM (advantage).
