Financial Planning & Analysis Associate – FP&A

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis Associate will deliver accurate, insightful analysis to support strategic decision‑making and enhance asset performance across Ella Resorts' hospitality portfolio. This position is ideal for candidates with a solid finance foundation who are eager to grow within the dynamic hotel and leisure sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, consolidate, and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for portfolio assets.
• Monitor key financial and operational KPIs (revenue, GOP, EBITDA, cash flow) and provide clear commentary on variances.
• Support the annual budgeting process and periodic re‑forecasting cycles, including variance analysis versus budget and prior year.
• Assist with cash‑flow forecasting and liquidity planning at asset and portfolio levels.
• Collaborate with operations to align financial insights with asset performance.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc strategic and financial analysis projects.
• Drive process improvements in reporting, planning, and performance monitoring.
• Build dynamic financial models to assess investment opportunities and project returns.
• Help prepare investment memos, presentations, and reporting packs for senior management and investors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related area; Big 4 experience considered an asset.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Analytical methodologies for performance monitoring.
• Experience with financial databases and reporting tools (optional).
