DevOps / SRE Engineer – Cloud & Kubernetes

About the role

T-Digital is seeking a seasoned DevOps/SRE Engineer to design, operate, and scale production‑grade cloud platforms for Deutsche Telekom customers across Europe. You will work in an agile, international environment, turning innovative ideas into reliable, high‑quality services.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and support production Kubernetes clusters, handling scaling, advanced networking, RBAC, and troubleshooting.
• Design, build, and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure on Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP, using Terraform and IaC best practices.
• Create and standardise CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, applying GitOps principles via ArgoCD or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts, custom templating, and lifecycle management for complex micro‑services.
• Implement container security controls, including image scanning (Trivy), signature verification, and admission policies (Connaisseur).
• Set up observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus) and manage logging, tracing, and metrics.
• Collaborate on service‑mesh implementations (Istio) and distributed tracing (Jaeger).
• Support emerging AI/ML workloads and model serving platforms such as KServe.

Required profile

• 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience in production‑grade, distributed environments.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Kubernetes expertise, including scaling, networking, and security.
• 3+ years designing and operating cloud infrastructure on at least one major provider (Azure preferred).
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and applying GitOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.
