Cyber Security Analyst – Level 1

About the role

Neurosoft is seeking a Level 1 Cyber Security Analyst to join its Security Operations Center. You will work in a 24/7 environment, monitoring networks, investigating alerts, and supporting incident response for a range of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Real‑time monitoring of security events and detection of network anomalies.
• Analyze and classify Events of Interest (EOI) and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Produce reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing security data.
• Coordinate with L2/L3 analysts and Duty Managers for high‑priority incidents.
• Research emerging threats and keep the SOC updated on the latest security issues.
• Monitor system health, data feeds, and threat‑intelligence platforms.
• Perform abuse‑email analysis and support incident response for assigned customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, ICT, Networking or a related field.
• Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical mindset, high integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems.
• Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP and the OSI model.
• Familiarity with information‑security standards, practices and monitoring tools.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM solutions, preferably IBM QRadar.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CySA+) are a strong asset.
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge is beneficial.
