Cloud & DevOps Lead (Azure)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Cloud & DevOps Engineer to own the technical direction and day‑to‑day execution of our Cloud Engineering function. You will be hands‑on with Azure and Kubernetes platforms while leading a growing team of Cloud Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Cloud Engineers, defining technical road‑maps and delivery commitments.
• Partner with engineering and business leaders on capacity planning and infrastructure priorities.
• Architect and operate Azure environments and on‑premises Kubernetes clusters (AKS and hybrid).
• Drive Infrastructure‑as‑Code, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines and self‑service platform capabilities.
• Own observability, backup/recovery, HA/DR and incident response across cloud, Kubernetes and network layers.
• Implement security best practices, including secrets management, access controls and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with Software, Data and AI engineers to design infrastructure for data‑intensive and GPU workloads.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE or Platform roles with proven leadership.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Azure services and strong Kubernetes design, deployment and troubleshooting skills.

• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor
• Enterprise networking: VPN, ExpressRoute, hybrid connectivity, private endpoints
• Security tooling: HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, Defender for Cloud
• Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell
