Bell Captain – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Bell Captain is the first point of contact for guests at Conrad Athens The Ilisian, a new luxury hotel in the heart of Athens. You will lead a small bell team, ensuring every arrival and departure is seamless, welcoming, and reflective of the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and supervise the bell team to deliver courteous, attentive service.
• Greet guests, assist with luggage, coordinate valet services and handle special requests.
• Manage arrival and departure procedures for smooth guest experiences.
• Provide accurate, personalized recommendations on local attractions, dining and services.
• Maintain clean, well‑kept bell carts and equipment.
• Handle, load and deliver guest luggage and packages safely.
• Act as the primary contact for guest concerns related to luggage, transport or porter services.
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Concierge and Valet teams.
• Support security by verifying guest and vehicle credentials when needed.
• Monitor and document lost‑and‑found items.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel.
• Strong hospitality mindset with a passion for exceptional guest service.
• Excellent verbal communication in English and Greek; additional languages a plus.
• Ability to lift luggage and remain on foot for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and grooming that reflects a luxury brand.

Required skills

• Fluency in English and Greek.
• Knowledge of Athens attractions, dining venues and local services.
