Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join AKTOR Equity Participations, a subsidiary of the AKTOR Group that manages a leading portfolio of PPP and concession projects in Greece. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing statutory statements, and supporting complex project accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records in line with Greek Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and management reporting packs.
• Support accounting for concession and PPP projects, including SPVs and consortium structures.
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger, fixed assets, bank accounts and inter‑company transactions.
• Perform MyDATA reconciliation and ensure timely submission of invoices.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Support external auditors and regulatory audits.
• Ensure compliance with Greek tax legislation, including VAT reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in infrastructure, construction, energy, concessions or PPP projects.
• Greek Accountant License Class A.
• Strong knowledge of Greek accounting and tax legislation.
• Fluent in English and Greek, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Hands‑on experience with IFRS reporting standards.
• Familiarity with Greek Accounting Standards and MyDATA reconciliation.
