Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

The Accounts Payable Officer will manage all payroll and related accounting activities for One&Only Kéa Island, ensuring accurate and timely processing while supporting the resort’s financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the resort and the external payroll provider, handling day‑to‑day payroll checks, updates and validations.
• Review attendance records, overtime, sick leave and other time‑sheet data to guarantee correctness.
• Prepare and submit monthly payroll input files, headcount reports, and tips/service charge distributions.
• Conduct payroll cost and headcount variance analyses against budget, and calculate payroll‑related provisions such as vacation and holiday pay.
• Maintain payroll‑related journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, local labour regulations and support internal and external payroll audits.
• Identify process improvement opportunities within payroll operations and provide accurate data for budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Strong background in payroll coordination and general accounting within a hospitality or similar environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employee data.
• Proactive communication skills to interact with HR, finance teams and external providers.
• Analytical mindset for variance analysis, cost control and compliance monitoring.
• Experience preparing journal entries, accruals and reconciling payroll‑related ledger accounts.
