Technical Standards & Contracts Engineer - Maintenance (Crete)

About the role

International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A., part of the GEK TERNA Group, is looking for a Technical Standards & Contracts Engineer focused on maintenance, based in Crete. The role covers the preparation, review and control of airport maintenance standards, procedures and documentation, and supports readiness and handover activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation, review, version control, issue and continuous improvement of maintenance standards, SOPs, work instructions, inspection checklists and templates across technical disciplines.
• Review maintenance documentation from contractors and suppliers for completeness, alignment with approved standards and compliance with contractual and handover requirements.
• Assist in preparing and consolidating inputs to the Aerodrome Manual and other documentation.
• Maintain warranty and DLP registers, including claims, notices, defect tracking, contractor responses and close-out evidence.
• Support ORAT/readiness activities through documentation traceability, defect/action registers, contractual obligations and evidence packs.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for audits, inspections, regulatory reviews and management reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Construction / Technical Management, with relevant technical documentation or contract-compliance experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in Asset Management, Contracts, Maintenance or Project Management is an advantage.
• 5-8 years of professional experience in technical documentation, maintenance support, contract administration, asset management, project handover or technical compliance roles.
• Experience with O&M manuals, as-built documentation, warranties, DLP tracking, testing/commissioning records, handover documentation or audit evidence is required.
• Experience in large infrastructure, airport, industrial or safety-critical facilities is preferred.
• Very good command of English and Greek, oral and written.

Required skills

• CMMS, document-control platforms, SharePoint/List-based trackers or structured compliance registers (an advantage).
• Analytical, organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a compliance, traceability and governance mindset.
