Tax Advice Associate

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Associate to join our Tax Advice Team in Athens, delivering tax advisory services for deals and transactions, including due‑diligence, structuring, and post‑transaction support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory services for buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, including tax due‑diligence.
• Develop tax structuring solutions for transactions, group reorganisations and day‑to‑day tax advice.
• Conduct technical research on tax legislation and jurisprudence to resolve complex tax issues.
• Collaborate with tax professionals in other jurisdictions and with deals teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage end‑to‑end execution of tax‑related projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
• Allocate resources efficiently and prioritise tasks based on project goals and deadlines.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of experience in tax matters, preferably in tax M&A or tax certificate work.
• Knowledge of income tax, VAT, international taxes, accounting, tax procedures and corporate law.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting & Finance or Law; a master’s or professional tax qualification is a strong asset.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Business writing skills in English and Greek, with a confident, proactive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adopt new technologies, including AI, to improve workflows.
