Steward – Hotel Food & Beverage

About the role

The Steward supports the Food & Beverage operation of a Marriott hotel in Athens by ensuring all kitchen, dining and service areas are clean, sanitized and well‑stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and sanitize kitchen, store‑room, tables, tools, knives and other equipment using appropriate chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly and rotate stock, ensuring clean wares are stored in designated areas.
• Inspect, pull, stack and re‑wash items as needed; break down dirty bus tubs and manage trash and recycling.
• Clean and mop all assigned areas, dispose of glass and cardboard properly, and report maintenance or safety issues.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and to reach overhead, bend, twist and stoop.
• Willingness to follow company safety, security and quality policies.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing equipment and 3‑compartment sink.
• Handling and application of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
