Software Engineer

About the role

Alpha Bank is looking for a Software Engineer to join its IT Core Banking Services Business Area. You will develop and maintain software solutions that support the bank’s transformation initiatives and meet business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based applications and web services (RESTful, WCF, Web API).
• Apply best practices such as Design Patterns, Domain‑Driven Design and SOA architecture.
• Identify, troubleshoot and fix bugs using manual and automated techniques.
• Implement automated unit and end‑to‑end tests and use static code analysis tools.
• Instrument applications with monitoring, telemetry and feature‑switching capabilities.
• Participate in deployment, performance monitoring and continuous improvement of released solutions.
• Produce technical documentation covering design, architecture and code.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1‑4 years of experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with SOA, microservices and API design patterns.
• Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition principles.
