Senior Data Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Data Analyst at Alma Economics you will lead the design and delivery of high‑impact analytical solutions that shape organisational operations and inform strategic decisions. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to turn complex questions into clear analysis and practical tools. The role offers real accountability and the opportunity to build innovative data products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, issues and operational improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain analytical tools and automation workflows using Python and SQL.
• Write clean, well‑structured code, conduct code reviews and contribute to internal data products.
• Integrate analytical outputs into internal systems and design new feature specifications.
• Create high‑quality dashboards and data visualisations to support decision‑making.
• Communicate findings clearly to senior leaders and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with departments to translate operational needs into actionable analytical tasks.
• Promote best practices in documentation, data governance and reproducible workflows.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a senior data analyst or equivalent senior role.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a track record of building robust analytical workflows.
• Strong ability to analyse, interpret and model complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality analytical outputs.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
