About the role
Second Tree is seeking qualified English teachers to join a 10‑week internship in the Epirus region of Northern Greece. You will deliver English lessons to refugees and asylum seekers, supporting their language development and integration.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons for learners ranging from absolute beginners (A0) to intermediate (B2) levels.
- Prepare class materials, assessments, and resources tailored to diverse proficiency levels.
- Incorporate interpersonal and life‑skill development into lesson plans.
- Track attendance, maintain records, and communicate class updates to students.
- Monitor student engagement and progress, providing feedback and support.
- Collaborate with the Education Manager to align activities with programme goals.
Required profile
- Experience teaching English as a foreign or second language.
- Passion for or strong understanding of the refugee and asylum‑seeker context.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to varied learner needs.
Required skills
- Lesson planning and curriculum design.
- Classroom management and student assessment.
- Basic administrative skills for attendance tracking and reporting.
