Professor of Psychology (Teaching Faculty)

About the role

New York College Thessaloniki is expanding its academic team and seeks a motivated Professor of Psychology to join the teaching faculty. The position involves delivering high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses, designing curricula, and supporting both onsite and online learning environments.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate psychology modules, both in‑person and via virtual platforms.
• Design, develop, and continuously improve course materials and assessment tools.
• Supervise student theses and research projects, especially at the postgraduate level.
• Utilise information technology to enhance classroom delivery and online instruction.
• Participate in departmental meetings, research activities, and academic community events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology or a closely related field.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and 3 years at the postgraduate level.
• Legal right to work in Greece and a valid Record of College Tutors (Mitroo Didaskonton Kollegion).
• PhD (or near completion) or extensive professional experience for postgraduate teaching.
• Experience supervising student theses and an active or developable research portfolio.

Required skills

• Course design and curriculum development.
• Proficiency with online teaching platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Effective communication, time management, and teamwork.
