Production Manager - Pharmaceutical Injectables

About the role

Demo S.A., one of the world's largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in injectable facilities, is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee its production lines and ensure an efficient, productive manufacturing process aligned with current legislation and its quality system. The position is based in Kryoneri, Athens.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements while achieving production targets and maximizing the capacity of machines and workforce.
• Allocate resources across production lines, optimize processes and organize workflows to meet specifications and deadlines.
• Monitor weekly and monthly reports, analyse production KPIs and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
• Partner with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, QP, Technical Division, Human Resources and Supply Chain.
• Work with Shift Supervisors, monitor their performance against KPIs, implement development plans and provide coaching.
• Oversee health and safety precautions, identify improvement opportunities and recommend actions to the H&S team.
• Approve and schedule maintenance works and equipment purchases with the technical team, and handle escalated issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Pharmacy; MBA or a Master's in a relevant field is desirable.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a Production Supervisor or Manager, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Greek.
• People management skills, self-motivation, teamwork, analytical and organizational abilities, and the ability to make fast, data-driven decisions.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• SAP use is highly appreciated.
