Planning & Purchasing Senior Officer

About the role

Pharmathen, a leading developer and manufacturer of specialized pharmaceutical products, is seeking a Planning & Purchasing Senior Officer to join its Pallini site. The role ensures smooth plant operations by managing production and packaging schedules and procuring printed packaging materials.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, maintain, and execute material requirements generated through MRP for printed packaging materials.
• Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders, guaranteeing timely procurement and uninterrupted production.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage slow‑moving and low‑stock items, and minimize excess stock.
• Prepare short‑term (3‑month) production and packaging schedules based on customer orders, capacity constraints, and material availability.
• Track daily production progress, adjust schedules, and coordinate with manufacturing, Master Planning, and QC teams.
• Monitor KPIs, schedule adherence, and overall production performance.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in planning, purchasing or supply chain within an industrial setting.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or a similar ERP system.
