MEP Design Specialist

About the role

The MEP Design Specialist will support the coordination, review and technical development of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems for new resort projects. Working within a fast‑growing hospitality group, you will ensure that MEP solutions are fully integrated with architectural, structural and other specialist disciplines while preserving the brand’s design intent.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and review MEP layouts, calculations, reports and consultant submissions to align with project requirements and company standards.
• Integrate MEP designs with architecture, interior design, structural, civil, landscape, lighting, kitchen, AV, IT, security and other disciplines throughout all project phases.
• Identify and resolve technical conflicts, coordination gaps and design inconsistencies in collaboration with consultants and project teams.
• Protect architectural and interior design intent by ensuring MEP solutions support guest experience, operational functionality and brand standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings, technical workshops and design reviews with external MEP consultants and engineers.
• Support value‑engineering and technical optimisation initiatives while maintaining design integrity and performance.
• Provide technical support during tender and construction phases, including shop‑drawing review, material submission checks, mock‑up inspections and site coordination.
• Maintain organized technical documentation, coordination records and project information.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP coordination on hospitality, mixed‑use or complex development projects.
• Proven experience in schematic and detailed design coordination and multidisciplinary integration.
• Experience working with hotel developers or operators is a plus.
