Machine Learning Credit Optimization Professional for FMCG

About the role

We are looking for a senior, hands‑on Machine Learning Engineer to develop predictive and optimisation models for credit decisions in a large international FMCG environment. The role combines credit expertise, data science and commercial judgement to improve credit quality and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve credit scoring, behavioural and predictive models.
• Build models to support credit‑limit and exposure optimisation.
• Analyse customer payment behaviour and create early‑warning indicators.
• Apply machine learning and advanced analytics to collections and recovery optimisation.
• Segment customers according to credit behaviour, risk and commercial value.
• Translate predictive models into practical credit recommendations and decision rules.
• Monitor, validate and continuously improve model performance.
• Collaborate with Credit, Finance, Commercial and Data/Technology teams to embed analytical solutions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on specialist with experience in credit analytics/optimization and strong practical machine‑learning skills.
• Experience in FMCG, retail, consumer finance, fintech, trade credit or similar high‑volume credit environments.
• Proven track record of building and validating models, not just managing teams.
• Ability to combine credit expertise, data science, machine learning and commercial judgement.
