Kids4EU Educational Consultant – Civic Engagement

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking two Consultants to support the EU‑funded Kids4EU project, which promotes civic education and EU values among children and adolescents in Greece. Working from Athens, you will design and facilitate participatory, arts‑based learning activities that empower young people to engage with democracy, diversity and human rights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver age‑appropriate storytelling, interactive exhibitions and workshop sessions for participants aged 6‑18.
• Implement activities under work packages WP6, WP7, WP9, WP14, WP15, WP17 and WP18, including child‑led advocacy and final conference support.
• Collaborate with IRC Hellas staff on participant recruitment, school and municipal liaison, and event logistics.
• Document outcomes, prepare reports and ensure alignment with project objectives and EU funding requirements.

Required profile

• Passionate change‑maker with experience in educational design and facilitation for youth.
• Strong understanding of EU values, civic literacy and multicultural education.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced humanitarian environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, educators, policymakers and community partners.
