Integrated Clinician

About the role

The Integrated Clinician will assess clinical data that support the safety and performance of medical devices, ensuring compliance with the EU Medical Devices Regulation (MDR). Working within DNV’s Product Assurance unit, you will contribute to certification decisions for high‑risk devices and interact directly with manufacturers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Approve certification proposals for medical devices according to the MDR.
• Perform clinical assessments, prepare and review reports, and validate safety and performance summaries for high‑risk devices.
• Plan and execute clinical evaluations within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Review and approve clinical evaluation reports and related documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with customers on requirements, status, and clinically relevant aspects.
• Conduct competence reviews of clinicians and recommend certification in complex cases.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in patient care, research, or conducting pre‑clinical/clinical trials.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of medical devices and analytical approach.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Medical device regulatory knowledge (EU MDR).
