Head Waiter/Waitress

About the role

Domes Resorts is seeking an energetic Head Waiter/Waitress for its new fine‑dining restaurant Makris Athens. The role involves delivering excellent service, managing guest experience and coordinating with kitchen and bar teams in a luxury hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a pleasant farewell.
• Take orders, serve food and beverages, and respond to guest preferences throughout the meal.
• Provide menu information, answer questions about dishes and drinks, and handle special dietary requests.
• Record orders and transactions in the POS system and perform shift closing, including cash and card reconciliation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house areas.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to guarantee timely delivery of orders.
• Communicate any menu queries, allergies or special requirements to the kitchen.

Required profile

• High school diploma or vocational training in a related field (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Conversational English proficiency.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
