Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (Crete)

About the role

The International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is looking for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis based in Crete. The role covers the annual budget and mid-year revision, long-term financial modelling, management reporting and budget monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate the annual budget and mid-year revision, aligned with strategic and project timelines
• Maintain and update long-term financial models for business planning and scenario analysis
• Liaise with departments to consolidate inputs, validate assumptions and support forecast accuracy
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and variance analyses
• Monitor budget execution and provide insights on deviations, cost drivers and performance trends
• Maintain headcount and operational cost tracking models
• Support the development and implementation of MIS tools to improve reporting automation and accuracy
• Contribute to improving financial data flows and forecasting methodologies
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on financial modelling or data analytics initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis or business controlling
• Prior experience in capital-intensive industries is highly desirable; infrastructure or airport development projects are a plus
• Excellent spoken and written English

Required skills

• Strong Excel and reporting tool skills (e.g. MIS dashboards)
• Good working knowledge of financial modelling; familiarity with ERP systems preferred
• Analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and work cross-functionally
