Head of Customer Marketing

About the role

Diageo, the global leader in the alcohol industry, is looking for a Head of Customer Marketing based in Athens, Greece. Reporting to the Country Director Greece, the role turns brand and commercial strategy into customer, channel and shopper activation plans that drive sustainable growth. It works closely with marketing and sales teams to turn brand strategies into winning propositions for retailers, wholesalers, e-commerce platforms and on-trade outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Translate brand strategies into commercially relevant activation platforms and define execution standards by channel and customer, including assortment, visibility, promotions and point-of-sale materials.
• Partner with Sales and Key Account teams to build insight-led customer propositions and support major customer presentations and commercial negotiations.
• Lead the customer marketing contribution to the annual commercial planning cycle and own the A&P budget, working with Sales, Finance and Revenue Growth Management to set KPIs and challenge low-return activities.
• Strengthen relationships with the bar community and support distribution and rate of sale across key venues.
• Coach a team of four and build the best customer marketing team in the market.

Required profile

• More than 10 years of experience in customer marketing and commercial roles within the FMCG industry.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with marketing, commercial, shopper marketing, merchandising teams and agencies.
• Experience managing teams and coaching them, and international experience across multiple countries and cultures.
• Comfortable with numbers, with strong financial and analytical skills.
• Fluent English and Greek.
