Full Stack Software Engineer – Authoring Tools (Remote, Greece/Cyprus)

About the role

LearnWorlds is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Authoring Tools team. You will design and ship features that enable educators worldwide to create engaging learning content, working primarily with Vue.js on the frontend and PHP on the backend.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship full‑stack features for Authoring Tools, from backend logic to polished frontend experiences.
• Own frontend architecture in Vue.js, applying design patterns and evolving consistent engineering practices.
• Write clean, scalable PHP services focused on performance and maintainability.
• Drive work end‑to‑end: problem understanding, estimation, implementation, code review, iteration and release.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers, shaping solutions beyond handed‑off designs.
• Participate actively in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Use AI‑powered coding tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development while maintaining quality.
• Balance technical quality with speed, keeping product and business impact in mind.

• Highly adaptable to changing requirements, priorities, or scope.
• Believes speed and quality can coexist and asks “why” before “how”.
• Careful about frontend architecture and building maintainable applications.
• Pragmatic with legacy code, willing to refactor incrementally.
• Provides thoughtful feedback and remains open to receiving it, regardless of seniority.

Required skills

• Modern JavaScript and Vue.js.
• PHP for backend services.
• RESTful APIs, HTTP fundamentals.
• Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• AI‑assisted development tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor.
• Docker and Kubernetes (nice‑to‑have).
• Go (nice‑to‑have).
