Field Application Engineer – Battery Energy Storage Systems

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Field Application Engineer to deliver installation, commissioning, maintenance and technical support for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and associated Power Conversion Systems (PCS) on commercial‑industrial and utility‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of BESS, PCS and lithium battery systems.
• Conduct system testing, diagnostics, performance verification and preventive‑maintenance activities.
• Support project execution, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and schedules.
• Provide remote and on‑site technical support, including advanced fault analysis and escalation for complex issues.
• Act as the main technical contact during field activities and prepare commissioning reports, service records and inspection checklists.
• Deliver technical training sessions for internal teams, service partners and end users.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of installation procedures, maintenance guidelines and troubleshooting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and promote safe working practices.
• Travel regularly to project sites and be available for on‑call support when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in field service, commissioning or maintenance of BESS, PCS, RESS or comparable energy‑storage technologies.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work on‑site at industrial and utility‑scale installations.
• Availability for occasional on‑call support during critical project phases.
