About the role
We are looking for an experienced Purchaser to join our Supply/Purchasing Department. The role focuses on managing spare parts and store requisitions for a shipping company, ensuring smooth procurement processes and timely deliveries.
Key responsibilities
- Handle and process spare parts and stores requisitions.
- Forward and monitor orders to guarantee on‑time delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments on procurement requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and efficiently use procurement software modules.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a shipping environment, with emphasis on spare parts and stores procurement.
- Proficiency with purchasing and ERP software modules.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong PC literacy and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Organized, able to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team‑oriented attitude with attention to detail.
