About the role
The Education Manager will lead the informal adult education programme at Lifting Hands International’s community centre in Serres, Greece. Starting in October 2026, the role is a six‑month commitment focused on delivering responsive, inclusive learning opportunities for refugees and asylum seekers.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the adult education programme, ensuring smooth delivery of classes and workshops.
- Manage a diverse team of visiting educators and community volunteers, including scheduling, supervision and performance feedback.
- Support curriculum development and adapt learning materials to meet the evolving needs of the target community.
- Coordinate with other programme areas (aid distribution, psychosocial support) to integrate education into the broader community response.
- Monitor programme impact, collect feedback and report on outcomes to senior management.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing adult education or community‑based learning programmes.
- Strong understanding of refugee and asylum‑seeker contexts in Greece.
- Excellent organisational and team‑leadership abilities.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Greek is an advantage.
